O ser humano pode carregar em si todas as contradições possíveis, ser vários e apenas um, ser forte e frágil, genial e fútil, espetacular e ridículo. Apresentar para milhões e ser completamente sozinho. Captar tantos ventos e temporais, transformar tantos vetores em arte pura, rara e sutil, fazendo da vida algo incrível e inacreditável. Seduzindo a todos com suas ideias e seus conceitos, mas se isolando numa fuga da vida real, pois descobriu que viveu para o imaginário, não para o concreto.
Estava vendo um documentário (Bad 25) dirigido por Spike Lee sobre o disco Bad, de Michael Jackson, hoje, o dia em que completa cinco anos de sua partida para o eterno imaginário, me dei conta de todas estas somas de contradições, descritas acima, estavam naquele que foi a maior e mais criativa estrela pop do mundo. A extrema capacidade criativa de Michael Jackson é retratada em cada detalhe neste filme, cada música, cada letra, cada dança, passo de coreografia, roupa, arranjo, harmonia.
O auge de um gênio, que depois do magistral Thriller foi capaz de inovar, renovar e surpreender, óbvio que o mundo era outro, a aceitação não foi a mesma, mas para muitos este é o disco mais bem elaborado tecnicamente, nada fora do lugar, resultado de mais de três anos de experimentação, inspiração, sacadas e muita, muita transpiração. Cada mínimo detalhe foi pensando, corrigido, refeito, coisa de artesão, de artista metódico e que buscava a perfeição.
O legado de Michael Jackson na música mundial é incontestável, a despeito de todas as contradições de sua trágica vida, a sua doença, manias, aceitação de si ou negação, quando,ao mesmo tempo embranquecia, se preocupava com a sua raça, seu povo, as visitas à África, o amor ao Mandela. Uma relação atormentada consigo mesmo, de um ser iluminado, genial.
Seria mais simples julgá-lo e condená-lo sob nossos padrões de valores morais e éticos, sem jamais compreender que somos o que somos, mas que dentro de nós cabe tantos EUs, que “dominamos” por nossa tola racionalidade e com nossa autoridade (ou seria autoritarismo) queremos impor a todos e a qualquer nossa régua, nossas medidas e nosso metron.
Viva Michael Jackson, que a vida nos deu e levou por um tempo tão curto, mas deixou uma marca tão grande, quase insubstituível. Na incrível letra de “Man in the mirror”, está ele todo ali somado.
